New Well Prepared in Al-Huwayz, Hama Countryside, to Boost Water Supply for Approximately 10,000 People
The General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Hama Governorate, through its Shatha Water Unit, is currently preparing a new well at the Al-Huwayz station in the western countryside of the governorate. Once operational, the well will be connected to the water network, helping to enhance the water supply for approximately 10,000 residents.
Technical teams from the Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Maintenance Department are installing a submersible pump unit with a capacity of 125 cubic meters per hour. They are also laying corrosion-resistant (galvanized) steel rising mains to connect the well to the reservoir that feeds the network, thereby supplementing the water supply provided by other active wells at the station.
Bringing this new well into service will increase the total number of operational wells at the station to four, with a combined production capacity of 350 cubic meters per hour. This will improve the ability to meet the water needs of the local population, ensure a more stable supply, and enhance the overall efficiency of the pumping system.
The Ministry of Energy extends its gratitude and appreciation to the technical staff of the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Hama Governorate for their efforts in preparing the new well, which will bolster the water supply and support the stability of the local community.
