The Ministry of Energy announces that, based on continuous monitoring of water levels in the Euphrates reservoirs and due to the reduction in water inflow from the Turkish side, the General Establishment for the Euphrates Dam will reduce the volume of water released from the Euphrates dams from 1,200 m³/s to 900 m³/s, effective tomorrow, Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The Ministry of Energy reiterates its call to residents of the Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor governorates to exercise caution and vigilance; specifically, they are urged to avoid approaching or swimming in the river channel and to exercise care when using boats and ferries on the river.
The safety of our people and their property is a priority, and we urge everyone to adhere to the instructions and warnings issued by the relevant authorities.
