Euphrates Dam personnel complete maintenance on the first unit and return it to service to support the stability of the electricity supply

Engineering and technical teams at the General Establishment for the Euphrates Dam have completed maintenance work on the first unit of the hydroelectric power plant. This effort is part of a program designed to enhance the operational readiness of the generation units, maintain their efficiency, and ensure the continuity of electricity production
The maintenance work involved repairing cracks in the runner blades and conducting technical inspections and operational tests to verify the integrity of the unit's components and its performance efficiency, in accordance with approved technical procedures
Following the completion of the work and the verification of the unit's readiness, the first generation unit was successfully started up and connected to the electrical grid, returning to service within the Euphrates Dam’s hydroelectric generation system
The Ministry of Energy extends its thanks and appreciation to the staff of the General Establishment for the Euphrates Dam for their efforts in completing the maintenance of the first unit and returning it to service with high efficiency.
