Electricity Grid Rehabilitation Begins in Saraqib After a 14-Year Outage
The Syrian Electricity Company has begun a new phase of electricity grid rehabilitation works in the city of Saraqib, Rural Idlib, following a 14-year outage caused by extensive damage to the infrastructure in recent years as a result of bombardment by the former regime, acts of sabotage, and theft.
Current efforts are focused on preparing and extending the main medium-voltage lines to supply six transformer stations, paving the way for the gradual restoration of electricity to the city’s neighborhoods, the restoration of essential services, and enhanced stability of the electricity grid.
