Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between the General Establishment for Drinking Water and "Creative Associates" to Support the Rehabilitation of Damaged Pumping Stations
The General Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with "Creative Associates International", aimed at enhancing the sustainability of water services and supporting the operation and maintenance of damaged pumping stations across several governorates.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the General Establishment for Drinking Water by its Director General, Engineer Taher Al-Omar, and on behalf of Creative Associates International by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Leland Kruvant. The signing was attended by Firas Kardoush, Director of the International Cooperation Directorate at the Ministry of Energy, and Khaled Al-Ghazi, Deputy Director General of the General Establishment for Drinking Water. Also present, representing Creative Associates International, was Mohamed Hamish, Director of the company’s German branch.
The MoU establishes a six-month framework for cooperation, which includes the provision of necessary spare parts and technical supplies, the execution of emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs, and the enhancement of technical staff capabilities. It also focuses on developing asset management systems, all of which will contribute to increasing the efficiency of pumping stations and improving their operational readiness.
This collaboration is part of the Ministry of Energy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the reliability of water systems, address damage to infrastructure, and ensure the continued provision of drinking water services to the public.
