The Quality Control Department of the Latakia Energy Services Directorate has seized a number of stalls selling gasoline in an unregulated and illicit manner—outside official channels—during inspection rounds conducted at various locations across the governorate
Department patrols confiscated the seized quantities, issued legal citations against the violators, and took necessary measures in accordance with regulations governing the sale of petroleum products
The Directorate emphasizes that selling fuel outside licensed stations is a punishable offense due to the risks it poses to public safety, and it affirms that inspection rounds will continue in order to curb this practice and prevent its spread
